Target Picture from Day One
The project map shows from the start where the journey is heading. Every chapter visibly fits into that picture.

What if your team came out of the training knowing more than just commands –and had built a working system together?
We train IT teams in container fundamentals with Podman and Docker, container operations with Kubernetes, automation with Ansible and monitoring with Zabbix – as corporate training on site or in a virtual classroom. Instead of twenty disconnected exercises, participants work on one continuous hands-on project and leave with a result they built themselves and can carry over into their daily work.
The Teaching Concept
Clusterhausen Waffle Works – a fictional company, handmade since 1998 – is growing, and its IT has to grow with it. This company is the common thread running through our courses. Participants take on a clear role and, over several days, build a connected system piece by piece, with real tools and real errors.
On the first morning, the target picture is in place: a map showing what will be running by the end of the course. It returns before every chapter and highlights the next building block. Everyone always knows where they stand and what the current topic is for. A sequence of topics becomes a project the group sees through together.
In the container course, the team moves the order shop from the server behind the bakery into containers and makes it production-ready. In the Ansible course, the online shop moves from a hosting provider to the company’s own servers, and the participants are the automation team. In the Kubernetes course, the platform team brings the same shop into the cluster and makes it reachable at its own address. In the Zabbix course, the growing business gets monitoring that keeps an eye on the shop, the order system and the branches.
The story is not an end in itself. It provides technically sound reasons for every topic – two environments for testing and production, an update with a fallback, a failure test under load – and makes connections visible that get lost in isolated exercises. Anyone who attends several courses will recognize everything. Anyone who attends just one misses nothing.
How Your Team Learns
Our courses were completely revised in 2026. Six building blocks make sure that course days turn into solid skills – and that nobody falls behind along the way.
The project map shows from the start where the journey is heading. Every chapter visibly fits into that picture.
The first exercises provide close guidance. From one exercise sheet to the next, the participants take on more themselves – up to transfer tasks that only define the goal and the acceptance criteria.
Every verifying command is preceded by a prediction: what should happen now? Copying turns into thinking, and deviations turn into aha moments.
Typical pitfalls are built in on purpose – with a diagnostic task and a way out. This lets participants practice troubleshooting before they face it in production.
The exercises come with tested reference solutions and restore points. Anyone who gets stuck loads a working state and carries straight on.
Our own explanatory graphics, consistent materials and exercises tested before every course. Content is continuously updated to current versions.
Our Courses
Each course stands on its own and does not require any other course. What they all share is the hands-on project, a dedicated lab environment for every participant and the goal that something is up and running at the end.
From the first container start to a production-ready stack: containers with Podman and Docker, your own images, data and networking, Compose, your own registry, security and autostart with systemd.
The business moves its order shop from the server behind the bakery into containers – the participants are the operations team.
Go to Container TrainingFrom the first pod to a hardened, reachable deployment: architecture, manifests, services, configuration, rollouts with probes, persistent data, Ingress and hardening.
The business brings its shop to Kubernetes – the participants are the platform team.
Go to Kubernetes TrainingFrom the first ad-hoc command to patch day across all servers: Linux and Windows automation with playbooks, roles, templates, Vault and collections, plus testing with Molecule and custom modules.
The online shop moves from a hosting provider to the company’s own servers – the participants are the automation team.
Go to Ansible TrainingBuild monitoring, tap into data sources, alert the right way: Zabbix from architecture and agent through templates, preprocessing and the HTTP agent to escalation, proxies and security.
The growing business gets monitoring – the participants are the monitoring team.
Go to Zabbix TrainingIndividual Training
Not every team needs a full course. In an individual training, we focus on the area your team is currently dealing with – guided by your questions and, if you wish, using your own environment.
You bring the topics, we turn them into a workshop: with expert input, hands-on work on your specific case and results your team can put to use right away. Individual training is a good fit for teams that already work with the tool and want to move forward on a specific point.
Topic Areas
The Lab Environment
Hands-on learning needs a reliable environment. Every participant gets their own fully prepared lab environment – no installation effort and no preparation required from your IT department.
Nobody shares systems or waits for others. Everyone works in their own environment and can experiment safely.
Access is conveniently through the web browser. No local installation is needed, and your IT department does not have to open anything up.
All exercises are run through completely in the lab environment before the course. Tools and images are ready, so course time is spent on learning.
Ready-made restore points let participants continue from a working state after a break or a mistake.
Formats
The training takes place on your premises. Your team learns together, can bring in questions from its own operations directly and only needs a computer with a browser.
As online training with live instruction, joint exercise phases and direct support in the lab environment. Well suited to distributed teams and multiple locations.
Focus areas, depth and examples can be aligned with your environment. We clarify dates, scope and schedule in a short conversation beforehand.
Your team already works with containers, Kubernetes, Ansible or Zabbix and wants to dive deeper into a specific topic? Then a tailored workshop is the right fit – see the Individual Training section.
After the course
The real work starts after the course. That is why every training includes an Ask the Trainer session: two to four weeks after the course, we meet online for one hour. Your participants send in the questions that came up while applying what they learned in your environment. That leaves the session free for what matters: specific answers for your systems, not the textbook case. The session is included in the price.
